Potentially last batch of the season pulped and pressed (although there are still a few apples on the tree, so maybe a small batch to come!), 9.5 gallons ready for some yeast in a few days.
Another 2 buckets pulped to go with the 8 pulped yesterday, all now pressed to produce 18.5 gallons (including 2 gallons of apple and pear) ready for some yeast in a couple of days.
Eight buckets (mix of 25 ltr and 30 ltr ones) of pulped apple ready for pressing tomorrow (includes a few pears as well). Bloody knackered now having done this after a ~13 mile walk (with dinner half way).
2nd batch of the year done, 5.5 gallons of a combo apple and pear sider, should be a tasty one! Kept the pulp and re-hydrated with water to do a re-pressing tomorrow for (in theory) a lighter percentage version. Then it’ll be off down the local pig farm with the … Continue reading
